The Role
We are looking for a visionary Head of Service Delivery to take the helm of our managed services and shape how we deliver value to schools and trust customers.
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Service Delivery Officer, with full accountability for the end-to-end service life cycle, from first sale to ongoing delivery, ensuring consistent, scalable, and high-quality customer experiences across all service lines.
Services include Finance, HR and Governance.
What You Will Own
Leadership & Enablement
Execute the service delivery strategy, translating plans into reliable, high-quality outcomes for education customers.
Lead and inspire teams delivering consultancy and managed services, standardising ways of working across all service areas.
Align customer touchpoints to deliver a seamless, end-to-end consistent customer journey.
Operational Excellence
Oversee day-to-day operations across all managed services, ensuring consistent performance, strong outcomes, and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
Standardise delivery models, processes, and reporting structures for efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
Embed risk management, governance, and issue resolution frameworks across teams.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop team managers, consultants, and operational support teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Equip teams with the tools, training, and resources to deliver exceptional service.
Process & Performance Improvement
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements, automation, and workflow enhancements.
Use data-driven insights to optimise performance, eliminate silos, and create standardised service frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to ensure seamless planning and delivery.
Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues, delivering timely resolution and root cause analysis.
Align commercial commitments with operational capability, maintaining consistency across sales, transition, and delivery.
Customer Experience
Champion customer satisfaction and operational responsiveness across all engagements.
Use customer insights to refine service offerings, improve delivery quality, and enhance overall service experience.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
Senior leadership experience in service delivery, operations, or managed services (education, training, or public sector preferred).
Proven capability in leading service delivery teams and driving operational performance.
Strong understanding of service management, customer engagement models, and operational best practices.
Track record of managing KPIs, SLAs, CSAT, and other performance frameworks.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience implementing process improvements, governance frameworks, and scalable service models.
Desirable Experience:
Solid experience delivering school support services (HR, Finance, Internal Scrutiny, operational services).
Skilled in technology-enabled service delivery aligned to the needs of education customers.
